What is the Nasdaq 100 and Where did it come from?
Started in January of 1995, the NASDAQ 100 consists of the 100 largest and most active stocks on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange. On December of 1998, it was restructured to contain the companies with the largest market capitalization (price x outstanding shares). Mostly technology heavy, the NASDAQ 100 has some of the most exciting companies driving this bull market to new highs every day. Among our favorites now and into the future are Cisco Systems, Sun Microsystems, JDS Uniphase and QualComm. Below are the companies representing the NASDAQ 100.
